If you require customised laminate or premium benchtops please use this form to detail your required design layout and associated dimensions. Customised Readikit benchtops are available in the range of Readikit Modular Kitchen Solutions colours and styles. We recommend use of customised Readikit Benchtops with Mason's mitre joins, where benchtop corner joins are required in the design, such as for L-Shape & U-Shaped kitchens. Fabricated in Australia from local and imported goods.
Reference guide for ordering customised benchtops (to be used as a guide only):
- When determining benchtop dimensions, ensure to allow approximately 17mm for Melamine End panel thickness & approximately 19mm for Vinyl Gloss End Panel thickness when using them in base cabinet and island bench designs, such as to conceal white cabinet sides.
- Vinyl Gloss products are not suitable for use next to or, surrounding base or wall ovens without Melamine End Panel &/or Multipurpose Infill Panels used between oven and vinyl gloss product. Remember to factor in dimensions for a Melamine Base End Panel to be used on either side of Base Oven cabinets, when determining your benchtop dimensions.
- Using Multipurpose Infill Panels or Base End Panels when doors are placed next to walls, pantries or end panels can allow best opening allowance for doors. Remember to factor these into benchtops measurements where filler panels are used.
- Where Multipurpose Infill Panels are used as filler panels within the kitchen design, remember to allow for appropriate width/thickness of the filler panel when determining benchtop dimensions.
- Add one Base End Panel (Formica Melamine Only) to base cabinets on each side of Freestanding Ovens to conceal white cabinet sides and to fit and finish kickboards off nicely. Allow the appropriate width for these in your benchtop dimension measurements.
- Ensure to allow sufficient space between melamine base end panels, benchtops and freestanding ovens in accordance with appliance manufacturers specifications and Australian and local building codes, standards and regulations.
- It is recommended that when calculating benchtop dimensions you double check all dimensions are correct and accurate before placing your order. Whilst benchtops can generally be cut down to size with the right tools and skill when installing them between tall end panels, pantries and walls or alternatively, can usually be left to overhang end cabinets (remember a base end panel to conceal white cabinet side) we’re yet to see anyone able to stretch a benchtop to fit over cabinets and panels properly, if it's been ordered too short!
- Laminate Benchtops do not come with sink, cooktop or other benchtop appliance cut-outs. Therefore, don't forget to arrange a tradesperson to do it for you or, to arrange the required plans, templates and tools for the cut-outs if you're doing them yourself.
- You'll need to detail the required position and dimensions of the sink, cooktop and other benchtop appliance cut-outs on MTO Benchtop Planner Order Forms when detailing premium benchtops. Ensure to include correct details of your sink brand, style name and model number at the base of your order form so that premium benchtop estimates can be calculated accurately and manufactured accordingly once ordered. It is recommended to provide a copy of all benchtop appliance cut-out template's, such as for your sink and cooktop (they're usually provided with the appliance) to your Readikit Retailer along with the completed MTO Benchtop Planner Order Form, when placing an order to allow the best manufacturing result possible, in accordance with the dimensions provided.
- Be sure to double check all room measurements and the combined cabinet, end panel and infill panel measurements before placing your confirmed MTO Benchtop order with your Readikit Retailer.
